This is the official YouTube channel of Morioka City Animal Park ZOOMO.

Morioka Animal Park ZOOMO opened on April 22, 1989, as a commemorative project for the 100th anniversary of Morioka City. It is located approximately 3 km east of the center of Morioka City, in the Iwayama area, which is rich in nature.

The park exhibits 600 animals of about 100 species, including African animals such as African elephants, giraffes, and lions; Japanese animals such as Japanese monkeys, hares, pheasants, and golden eagles; and pumas and Canadian otters donated by the sister city of Victoria （ Canada ）. It is a major social education and tourist facility of the city. The park also has a rich natural environment with streams flowing through its 37.2 ha expanse, as well as forests and grasslands. Taking advantage of this environment suitable for nature observation, we have held various events to learn about nature as well as wildlife, such as insect collecting, bird watching, and plant observation.
